The PB Philadelphia office is seeking highly skilled and motivated transportation planner as we expand our Pennsylvania planning practice. Under supervision, the successful candidate will perform planning and/or research and analysis activities in support of projects. Work requires contact with clients including state departments of transportation, transit properties, economic development agencies; city, county and municipal governments; and other PB and external personnel.

Major Duties include:
- Collect, analyze and interpret transportation and land use data
- Assist in technical writing and report preparation
- Research economic, demographic, fiscal, legal, and technical elements for projects
- Performs generalized studies under direction of supervisor

Bachelors or Master’s degree in planning or related field. Minimum of one year progressively responsible experience in planning or research-related activities (or equivalent working knowledge/experience); strong analytical, written and oral communication and collaborative skills essential; up to one year as a transportation planner, land use planner or a related position preferred; familiarity with graphic design software a plus; possess ability to handle a wide array of projects and multiple assignments; works well with team members and communicates effectively; Possess a general understanding of GIS and a familiarity with modeling and the application of technology to transportation and land use planning and is passionate about planning and issues related to land use-transportation linkage and smart growth.
