WRT is a collaborative practice of city and regional planners, urban
designers, landscape architects, and architects who create vibrant,
imaginative, and sustainable places at many scales. We help public and
private clients envision smarter development patterns, revitalize
neighborhoods and campuses, forge lively new communities, integrate and
reinforce open space systems, and design sustainable site-specific
landscapes and buildings.
ECO-DISCIPLINARY is a term we use to convey WRT's holistic approach to
ecological problem-solving and place-making. This approach arises in
part from our long-held philosophy of designing with nature-creating
memorable places in concert with a site's natural systems and cultural
context-and in part from the interdisciplinary expertise we bring to
bear our work at all scales. At WRT, large-scale planning efforts are
informed by our knowledge of design implementation, and designs for
individual buildings and landscapes are influenced by our understanding
of their contribution to the wider context. Implicit in our approach is
a collaborative working method that enables our clients to engage with
and benefit from multiple points of view.
Headquartered in Philadelphia, WRT maintains offices in Coral Gables,
San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, Lake Placid, and New York City with a
staff of over 220 professionals firmwide. With an international practice
that includes work in India, Korea, Cambodia, and China as well as
numerous Central and South American cities, WRT's practice in the US
includes public agencies in major American cities-Dallas, San Francisco,
Philadelphia, San Diego, and New York City-as well as medium and small
communities throughout the State of New Jersey.
